چکیده

Just as the Bernstein basis and Be Âzier points give us tools to manipulate polynomials, the Poisson basis and control points provide a new framework for investigating analytic functions. Using the Poisson representation, two different subdivision algorithms for analytic functions can be derived as extensions of the Be Âzier polynomial subdivision algorithm. The ®rst procedure generates an approximation algorithm, the second a trimming algorithm. Three applications of these two subdivision algorithms are developed here: an evaluation algorithm, a method for extending the convergence domain of the Poisson representation of an analytic function, and an intersection algorithm for analytic curves.

Coefficient Estimates for Some Subclasses of Analytic and Bi-Univalent Functions Associated with Conic Domain

The main objective of this investigation is to introduce certain new subclasses of the class $Sigma $ of bi-univalent functions by using concept of conic domain. Furthermore, we find non-sharp estimates on the first two Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients $ left vert a_{2}right vert $ and $left vert a_{3}right vert $ for functions in these new subclasses. We consider various corollaries and consequen...

Trimming for subdivision surfaces

Trimming is an important primitive operation in geometric modeling. It is also the root of many numerical and topological problems in modern NURBS based CAGD systems. In this paper we introduce a new method for trimming subdivision surfaces. It is based on the use of combined subdivision schemes to guarantee exact interpolation of trim curves. The latter ensures, for example, that if two surfac...

Conversion of Trimmed NURBS Surfaces to Untrimmed Catmull-Clark Subdivision Surfaces

We introduce a novel method to convert trimmed NURBS surfaces to untrimmed subdivision surfaces with Bézier edge conditions. We take a NURBS surface and its trimming curves as input, from this we automatically compute a base mesh, the limit surface of which fits the trimmed NURBS surface to a specified tolerance. We first construct the topology of the base mesh by performing a cross-field based...

Parametrization of General Catmull-Clark Subdivision Surfaces and its Applications

A new parametrization technique and its applications for general Catmull-Clark subdivision surfaces are presented. The new technique extends J. Stam’s work by redefining all the eigen basis functions in the parametric representation for general Catmull-Clark subdivision surfaces and giving each of them an explicit form. Therefore, the new representation can be used not only for evaluation purpo...
